I was diagnosed with cancer at age 20 and was pregnant at the time. The doctors wanted me to get rid of the baby and perform a radical hysterectomy. I slowed down, and I took the time to investigate more about my disease. This started me down the path of holistic medicine.
I chose to go against the doctor’s orders. I don’t recommend others to go against doctor’s orders, however, this was the best choice for me. Now after 5 children, I am doing well and I’m cancer free. I am very grateful for my life and my choice.
After the cancer diagnosis, I became obsessed with finding real answers about cancer and holistic options. I want to help others restore their health rather than just medications and surgeries.
Sometimes medications and surgeries may be necessary. However, herbalism and mind-body-medicine can also support you in recalibrating your body for optimum health.
My second major crisis was at the age of 35, I was the sole survivor of an airplane crash. Boy what a journey that was. It brought me to my knees, and through it all, it changed my whole perspective on life.
I lost my fiancee in that plane crash. I lost my job, my physical well-being due to the incredible amount of injuries sustained in the accident, and my children were heading off to college. The devastation I felt joggled my brain.
I was confined to my bed for months as the thoughts of my incredible losses were swirling around in my head. My opportunities for distraction were limited. With a concussion, I was unable to focus and reading wasn’t an option. All I can say is thank you for all those visitors who came by.
I once heard someone say, “When you are walking through hell, just keep walking.”
I kept walking and here I am. Through it all, I learned that we have an incredible capacity for self-healing. Healing goes beyond disease. Healing through consciousness.
I draw upon many years of working in the wellness industry, my own personal practices of yoga and meditation, and some powerful mind-body-medicine techniques to keep one holistically balanced.
Pamela works with individuals to look at difficult issues so we can find out what holds them back so they can get motivated and move on. Together, we will look for ones desires. We will set goals to achieve those desires by reducing the fear to take the leap of faith to begin.
Together we build confidence by using our courage to take action, which is the only step to take to reduce anxiety. Action is the only way to build self-esteem. We need to do things to impress ourselves.
Pamela is trained in mind-body medicine, a holistic wellness practitioner, a national certified counselor and is a member of International Association of Professional Life Coaches.
